'Sammohanam' might have seen Vijay Devarakonda in the lead man's role but for 'Arjun Reddy'. Months after he was done writing the script, Mohankrishna Indraganti mooted the 'Pelli Choopulu' guy for the film.

"But 'AR' made him larger-than-life. So, I stopped considering him for my film. Nani too couldn't be roped in as he is now a star hero," the director says, talking about how he eventually zeroed in on Sudheer Babu after watching his performance in an emotional scene in 'Samanthakamani'.

Starring Aditi Rao Hydari as the female lead, 'Sammohanam' will hit the screens on June 15. Its audio release function will be held on June 10, at Hyderabad's JRC Convention. Mahesh Babu will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
