Why you should watch out for Trisha and Kajal

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,January 10 2012]

For all the overwhelming attention that Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh have been garnering since the past few days, their co-stars Kajal Agarwal and Trisha Krishnan cannot be ignored so easily. It is because they are understandably coming up with never-seen-before roles in The Businessman and Bodyguard respectively.

Though much information about Kajal's character in Puri Jagan's movie is not known, one may safely guess that hers is a compelling presence in Businessman. Much has been written about the so-called smooch scene, but Kajal does indeed seem to have a role cut out for her. Puri's heroines (right from his first film) have never had a wafer-thin role even though most of them were not co-equals with the hero.

Coming to Trisha, that she is playing a role on a par with Venky is a foregone conclusion. Going by the earlier versions of Bodyguard, the heroine is an integral part of the story. In fact, Trisha has the special opportunity to make us be a part of her emotional journey over years with her intense performance.

While Kajal is in full form, Trisha is a proven talent with a list of superb films in her kitty (read Athadu, Aduvari Matalaku Arthale Verule, King, Teenmaar, etc).
