An Indonesian woman, following an argument with her husband when he denied sharing his mobile password with her, set him ablaze in a fit of rage.

26-year-old Dedi Purnama was working on his roof tiles when his wife, Ilham Cahyani walked in the room and demanded his mobile password. When Dedi refused to share it with her, an argument ensued between the couple, during which Dedi allegedly slapped his wife. Following that, Ilham poured petrol on her husband and set him on fire. The neighbours who witnessed this rushed Dedi to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for two days before he succumbed to his injuries.

Following his death, Ilham has been formally arrested. Investigation of the matter is still underway.
