Will Kollywood put an end to the games, game?

Following the Bollywood's way, in other words Holloywood's Indianized way, Kollywood has started spending almost half the money of the production value for promotions. The amount of money has almost doubled in the last 5 years with respect to star values, and the production houses are contemplating various factors to milk half of the cost prior to the release itself.

Android games:

Nowadays almost 90 percent of the youngsters carry a smartphone and play some games or other. A leading mobile manufacturer released their flagship device with Kochadaiyaan' game, and the strategy worked really well. Following the Superstar's flick, A.L. Vijay's Saivam' and Suriya's Anjaan' joined the bandwagon.

Ilayathalapathi Vijay's Kaththi' is the latest one to join the game arena, and topped the google list within 3 days of its release. Though the expectation of the certain sections makes the download count look bigger, none of the games have matched the hype so far. Be it Kochadaiyaan', Anjaan' or Kaththi' the games are not so complicated and the weapons used by the main character alone differs. People have already started to complain regarding this and expecting a much better show from the game developers in the future.

The sentiment factor:

As we all know, like any other industry, Kollywood is also succumbed highly to the sentiment factor. So far, the movies which released games did not do anything extraordinary in terms of collections, and Kaththi' which falls under One of the most anticipated films of the year' will be either breaking the myth or fall for the so called sentiments.

We will come to know whether this trend will continue or the K-town will put an end to it in a few months time.
