Producer Ramesh Taurani and director Rajkumar SantoshiÂs previous venture, ÂAjab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, created box office magic 4 years ago. The pair now look to carry forward their successful association with the latest madcap comedy ÂPhata Poster Nikla HeroÂ, starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana DÂcruz.
With dreams of being a movie hero, Shahid Kapoor essays the role of Vishwas who begins his journey to stardom, only to meet with a girl, who turns everything around, leading to complications, out-and-out entertaining episodes and lots of madness, ÂPhata Poster Nikla Hero is every bit the crazy film all told in signature Rajkumar Santoshi style.
Said the director, Phata Poster Nikla Hero is a wholesome family entertainer with something for everyone. After Ajab I was looking to do a film that my audiences are keen on watching, something that will have them rolling of their seats with laughter as that is the kind of cinema I personally enjoy.
Talking about his association with Rajkumar Santoshi, producer Ramesh Taurani said, Very few directors have the knack of executing slapstick and over-the-top comedies, however,Rajkumar Santoshiji is gifted in that genre. Phata Poster Nikla Hero is a film that will appeal universally and we've thoroughly enjoyed doing this film with Mr.Santoshi and hope to repeat the magic.
