With Priyadarshi of 'Pelli Choopulu' fame recently expressing his wish to wield the megaphone (he had done it in the past as well), many hope that he could prove to be a sensible director. He comes with some understanding of the craft of filmmaking and also has been exposed to international cinema as a perennial learner.
However, things are not easy when it comes to knowing the audience's pulse. At a time when one too many actors have failed as directors, Priyadarshi must be weighing the pros and cons of turning a director sometime in the coming years. Vennela Kishore had a failed tryst with film direction a few years ago. He did the right thing by focusing on his forte after the drubbing. And the course correction has proved to be rewarding.
Priyadarshi is too busy as a comedian to even think of direction any time in near future. But whenever he becomes a maker, 'hatke' is expected from him.
