Guy Ritchie the maverick director of such films as Snatch' and the Sherlock Holmes' franchise is all set to helm a live action adaptation of Alladin'. In Walt Disney's 1992 animated version the genie was voiced by Robin Williams and the film well received the world over.
Will Smith is in talks to star as the genie in the new Alladin' and with his current schedule will most probably say yes. Once the Smith deal is finalized the other cast and crew are likely to be announced. Disney recently made a live action movie of The Jungle Book' which has become one of the highest grossing films in recent times.
