Megastar Chiranjeevi, actor and Rajya Sabha MP, has congratulated PV Sindhu on her spectacular Olympian achievement. "Congratulations, PV Sindhu, on your victory. You have made us Indians proud. Wishing you the very best for your future", he said in a statement.

The sportsperson has become a phenomenon of sorts after winning the Silver at Rio 2016.

Meanwhile the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have announced monetary rewards to the tune of crores to Sindhu.
