In a terrible incident, a woman named Rizwana Begum has been accused of physically abusing a 4-year-old girl and stealing valuables like earrings from her.  It happened in Mumbai inside a lift.

In an upscale residential building in Trombay, Begum was stuck in the lift with the girl.  Shockingly, she started beating the poor girl, who started crying for help.  She grabbed her valuables and ran away.

The horrible act was caught by a CCTV camera, whose footage has been uploaded on some websites.  The police have slapped a criminal case against the perpetrator under IPC section 394 (voluntarily causing hurt while committing robbery).

While the probe is on, the cops have recovered the girl's belongings from the abusive woman.

The little girl must have been traumatized by the beatings.
