Kannada movie KGF Chapter 1 directed by Prashanth Neel, who had been known previously for his hit action movie Ugramm, had turned out to be a huge blockbuster, with surprisingly good collections even coming from the dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

The movie starring Yash as the deadly gangster Rocky and the situations he encounters in his rise to become the most deadly don and his entry into Kolar Gold fields portrayed in a stunning manner in the first chapter, was received well worldwide and the movie grossed more than 200 crores.

Following the success of KGF Chapter 1, the second part of the movie, KGF Chapter 2 was launched today with the Muhurtha, and the team had been to the Kodandaram temple at Vijayanagar to seek blessings, and the main team of the movie - Hero Yash, heroine Srinidhi Shetty, director Prashanth Neel and producers from Hombale films were present in the ceremony.
