Stepping into the spotlight in a new role, Pushpa Arunkumar, the mother of Rocking Star Yash, has ventured into the world of cinema as a film producer. She has launched her own banner, PA Productions, with the heartfelt aim of encouraging fresh talent and creating meaningful cinema. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Parvathamma Rajkumar, a pioneering producer in Kannada cinema, Smt. Pushpa is set to carve her own path in the industry.
PA Productions' debut venture is titled Kothalavadi, a rooted and emotional action-drama that promises to leave a strong impact on audiences. The film features the immensely talented Pruthvi Ambaar in the lead and is written and directed by emerging filmmaker Sriraj.
The first look poster of Kothalavadi, released last month, received a phenomenal response and created significant anticipation. Now, the official teaser has been unveiled, offering a deeper look into the film’s intense narrative and powerful characters.
The 90-second teaser is loaded with high-impact visuals, mass appeal, and emotional depth. Pruthvi Ambaar impresses with his rugged avatar, while cinematographer Karthik’s visuals bring raw realism to the screen. The background score by Abhinandan Kashyap adds intensity and keeps viewers hooked from start to finish.
Set in the village of Kothalavadi in Gundlupet Taluk, Chamarajanagar District, the film captures the essence of rural Karnataka. The team has used local dialects and cultural elements to maintain authenticity, with dialogues penned by Raghu Neenandalli.
The film also features a stellar ensemble cast including Gopal Deshpande, Rajesh Nataranga, Avinash, Kavya Shaiva, Mansi Sudhir, Raghu Ramanakoppa, and Chethan Gandarva.
PA Productions is also giving a platform to new musical talents. Vikas Vasishta has composed a soulful track for the film, while Abhinandan Kashyap has created a gripping background score. Ramishetty Pavan handles the editing, and Dinesh Ashok is behind the eye-catching poster designs.
With Kothalavadi, Smt. Pushpa Arunkumar is not only stepping into film production but also sending a strong message—encouraging new voices and celebrating stories rooted in culture and emotion. Her debut production is shaping up to be a film that connects with audiences across all segments and continues the legacy of women producers in Kannada cinema.
