'Yatra' gets big release: Total count is 970 screens

'Yatra', starring Mammootty as YS Rajasekhara Reddy, is all set to hit the screens tomorrow (Feb 8) in 500 screens in the Telugu States. In the Overseas market, its release is ensured in 180 screens. Overall, the screen-count is claimed by the makers to be 970. Nobody expected this scale of the release.
The makers have positioned the semi-biopic as an emotional story. YSR garu's 'pada yatra' (walkathon) took 68 days. Coincidentally or otherwise, the production works of our movie too took 68 days exactly, director Mahi V Raghav says.
Dil Raju is distributing the movie in Nizam and Vizag territories and he says that 'Yatra' will definitely take very good openings. The advance bookings have raised the morale of the makers.
