After boosting the excitement level with promo of song Apna Bombay Talkies, the filmmakers of ‘Bombay Talkies’ has let out yet another exciting element of the track..

Apna Bombay Talkies which is released recently starts with Aamir Khan and includes all the big celebrities of today's times namely - Shahrukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and many more. Besides, 20 singers have rendered their voices to these celebrities. While viewers have lapped up this song trailer happily, there’s in fact more to it...

Actually the song is approximately 8 minutes, however the makers have only released the second half till now which is spanning over 4 minutes approx. Interestingly the makers have kept a surprise element for the audiences - Where the first half of the song has many yesteryear celebrities like Shatrugan Sinha, Amitabh Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman, Nutan, Tanuja, Zeenat Aman, Prithviraj Kapoor, Nargis Dutt, Sunit Dutt, Madhubala, Praveen Babi, Rishi Kapoor, Hema Malini, Rekha to name a few....

This part of the song is in Black and White. Basically brief portions of their films have been picked up and have been collated on VFX. So it seems they are lip syncing the song - In a sense.

The 8 minute song will project the sea of Bollywood celebrities coming together to mark this 100 year celebration of Indian Cinema.

Confirming this, producer Ashi Dua said, The song took 3 - 4 months to be made. It has come out beautifully. A lot of hardwork was put in by both Amit Trivedi and Vibhavi Merchant for this song. We have used clippings from a lot of iconic films like Sholay, Pyaasa, Amar Akbar Anthony, Mugal-e-Azam to name a few.

Directed by four directors Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and Dibaker Banerjee, ‘Bombay Talkies’ is releasing on 3rd May.
