Released last year Christmas, the Dhanush starrer Maari 2, the sequel to his 2015 hit Maari was a fairly successful commercial outing. Directed by Balaji Mohan, the movie also starred Sai pallavi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Tovino Thomas.

Despite the minimal success of the movie, the music of Maari 2 composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja was a huge success, especially the Rowdy Baby song was a huge hit achieving some milestones in YouTube views and likes.

Now it has been made official by YouTube that Rowdy Baby is the most viewed music video in India in 2019, and has been listed as the seventh most viewed video song globally by Billboard. Rowdy baby had impressive dance moves choreographed by Prabhu Deva and was sung by Dhee and Dhanush.
