Filmmaker Ameer and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja seems to share an excellent rapport. The two had teamed up to render musical hits since `Mounam Pesiyadhe'. They touched the peak in `Paruthiveeran'.

In `Yogi', debut venture of Ameer as actor and directed by Subramaniam Siva, Yuvan has come up with songs that is worth listening to. The numbers `Seermevum Koovathiley' and `Yaarodu Yaaro' are the picks of the album.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's shrewd instrumentation and catchy lyrics by Snehan make it a delight to glue the ears to the album.

1. Yogi Yogi Thaan

Singer: Blaze, Neha Bhasin

Highly impressive. The prefect song in the album that sets the momentum for the listeners. Yuvan Shankar Raja's good orchestration is the hallmark of the song. Blaze's rendition in the racy manner needs appreciation. Peppy and powerful song that is sure to top charts.

2. Yaarodu Yaaro

Singer: Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ustad Sultan Khan

Yuvan seems to have developed a fascination for Sarangi since Pudhupettai. The young music composer has rendered a lovely mellifluous song with splendid rhythms. What more, he has sung it in the company of Ustad Sultan Khan. Soft and stylish it is.

3. Yogi Theme in Saarangi

Singer: Ustad Sultan Khan

Once again Yuvan Shankar Raja scintillates with Sarangi. The lovely use of the instrument coupled with the splendid gusto voice of Ustad Sultan Khan makes it a 'different' song. The song has wonderful arrangements.

4. Seermevum Koovathiley

Singer: Ameer, Naveen, Snehan and Jijuba

Perhaps the pick of the album. Ameer and lyricist Snehan render it in the company of Naveen and Jijuba. The song has rhythmic rustic and rural beats. Yuvan Shankar Raja has successfully managed to recreate the same aura of `Paruthiveeran' here. Snehan's lyric is big highlight of the song.

5. Yogi Theme Music (Instruments)

Yuvan Shankar Raja is a master when he comes to composing theme music. His love for stringing instruments which in fusion with percussion gives the listeners a great feeling when they listen to it. Here, he has given an excellent fusion that gives a unique sound. Three cheers Yuvan.

In all, Yuvan Shankar Raja has gone ahead to render an album that is attractive and alluring.
