With 18-year-old Hima Das winning for India the country's first ever track gold at a global event, congratulations are pouring in from across the country. The youngster has won the 400 metre final at the World U20 Championships in Tampere, Finland.

Mahesh Babu has today cheered the champion. "Incredible feat by #HimaDas. One of the brightest moment in the history of Indian sports. Super proud & super happy for you, @HimaDas8... Congratulations!" the 'Bharat Ane Nenu' actor said, describing Hima as a golden girl and India's pride.

The superstar will be there at Kukatpally Housing Board's Chennai Silks Showroom for a brief while. The actor is scheduled to be there on Sunday (July 15). It's one of his few public appearances in recent past.

Meanwhile, a making video of the actor's recent commercial for a real estate developer is out.
