Following his highly successful debut ('Raja Rani'), Kollywood director Atlee has been the highest-paid youngest director in south India. Atlee has made three consecutive movies with Vijay - 'Theri', 'Mersal', and 'Bigil' since then.

While 'Theri' and 'Mersal' emerged as blockbusters at the box office, the upcoming Sports-Action film 'Bigil' (to be released as 'Whistle' in Telugu) is expected to set new records in Tamil.

After Bigil's release, Atlee and Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan might be teaming up for a movie. A rumour suggests that Atlee has been paid Rs. 25 crores for 'Bigil', and has also apparently been offered Rs. 30 crore for his movie with SRK.

Atlee's remuneration will surely make even the biggest directors out there go green with envy.
