Yuvan Shankar Raja is a leading music composer, playback singer and film producer in Tamil cinema for more than two decades. He is a versatile composer who has worked in more than 100 movies. Yuvan has won two Filmfare Awards, five Mirchi Music Awards, four Vijay Awards and three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is the youngest son of the country's legendary musician Ilayaraja. He began his musical career in 1996 with the film 'Aravindhan' at the age of 16. Yuvan has scored music for leading actors like Ajith Kumar, Simbu, Dhanush, Vishal, Arya and is hailed as the 'BGM King of Kollywood' by the fans.

The latest is that the little maestro completes 25 years in his film journey. The fans are celebrating the occasion with special edits and write-ups. Now, Yuvan took to his Instagram handle to share an emotional note with his followers. His letter reads:

"All praise and thanks are only for The God, the one who, by His blessing and favor, perfected goodness/ good works are accomplished. All the Glory is for The Lord alone In all circumstances,

First and foremost, let me convey my gratitude and love to my fans, believers and supporters. Without you all, I would not be here, 25 years later, doing what I love for myself and for all of you. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I would also like to acknowledge and express my heartfelt thanks to the Directors and Producers whom I have worked with, who have put their faith and trust in me over the years. Without your vision of having me onboard, I would not have had the scope to showcase my love for music, and I am truly thankful for every opportunity that has come my way.

From the first few notes as a 16 year old for the film Aravindhan to the songs I've composed for Valimai, and all the new compositions that are yet to be released, the journey so far has been overwhelming and a magical one. My fans and well-wishers have blessed me with their unflinching support, and not a day goes by that I am not thankful for it. At this moment, I would also like to acknowledge the impact that my father has left on me. The influence he has had on my life, along with the other great musicians who have inspired me along the way is immeasurable. I am honoured to be his son.

As I mark this momentous occasion in my career, the only thing I can honestly say with clarity is that I aim to make music that is worthy of your love and affection. I wish to thank my family, the film fraternity and all of the media persons who have showered me with goodwill over the past 25 years. Without your titles of "BGM King" and, of course, "Little Maestro", I would not have been able to scale the heights that I have so far. Awards have meant little to me, but winning over the hearts of my fans has brought me profound joy, which fuels me to keep going. There are not enough words to express my love for my loyal fans who have stood by me through thick and thin.

As I celebrate these past two decades and a half, I wish to thank YOU as well for making me who I am. Thank you for 25 years of music, heart and soul. And, God willing. here's to many more. (sic)"
