Iyakkunar Imayam Bhrathiraja's debut directorial '16 Vayadhinile' had musical score by his good friend Isaignani Ilaiyaraja. The film created a history and the duo had delivered many classics throughout the 1980s before parting ways.

Bharathiraja's son Manoj.K.Bharathi who had acted as hero in films like 'Alli Arjuna', 'Eera Nilam' and 'Pallavan' shifted his focus to filmmaking. He even worked as an Assistant Director to Shankar in the latter's blockbuster sci-fi flick 'Enthiran'. He also assisted Mani Ratnam in 'Bombay' before becoming an actor. Now Manoj is all set to direct his debut film and he has roped in Ilaiyaraja's son Yuvan Shankar Raja's music.

Manoj has confirmed that h finalised Yuvan as the music director of this film, which will be a humor subject. The cast including the lead actors and the other technical crew members are yet to be finalized.

There were talks doing rounds that Manoj will be directing the remake of his father's classic thriller 'Sigappu Rojakkal' as his first film. Manoj has however confirmed that he has postponed the remake plan for now.

We wish the best of the sons duo to rewrite the history written by their fathers.
