After Krunal Pandya, two more Indian cricketers test positive for Covid-19

Days after Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya tested positive for Covid-19 in Sri Lanka, Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham have been confirmed to have contract the virus.

Both Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham, along with six other members of the team, went into isolation after Krunal Pandya's diagnosis on Tuesday as they were all deemed close contacts of the player. All three cricketers will remain in isolation in Colombo for a period of 10 days. The remaining six players, including Hardik Pandya, Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Deepak Chahar and Ishan Kishan, shall be following the Sri Lankan government's quarantine guidelines for close contacts of Covid-19 patients before they are allowed to return home.

The second T20I between Sri Lanka and India which was originally scheduled to be played on July 27 was pushed forward by a day after Krunal Pandya tested positive for Covid-19. Sri Lanka beat India last night by 7 wickets to win the series 2-1.
