“Movies are not just to entertain masses. They should carry a strong message that can reform society,” says director Nandha Periyasamy.

The filmmaker, who is wielding the megaphone for ‘Mathiyosi’, starring freshers Harish, Alex, Gopal and Vishak as heros and Shammu as the female lead, says, “The movie is about juveniles and what forces them to take to crime. It is the story of four youngsters, who commit petty crimes in their village. Soon they get into trouble and they escape to Chennai. What happens to them after they land in the city forms the rest of the story.”

P S Sekar Reddy is producing this film under the banner PSSR Films. He had earlier produced R Parthiban starrer ‘Ammuvagiya Naan’. Vijay Armstrong is wielding the camera while Guru Kalyan is debuting as music composer.

It is said that Nandha Periyasamy gave intense training to his artistes for over two months before he ventured to shoot them. The movie was shot in interior parts of Tamil Nadu.
