With 'Desi Boyz', Akshay Kumar would be seen on the big screen six months after 'Thank You'. Meanwhile he is also looking forward to his newer set of films (Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, Joker) that is being planned for arrival over next 12 months.

When asked whether it is pretty much a planned move as far as his upcoming lot of films is concerned, Akshay says, "I am planning to be so diverse next year but what I feel great about is that during filming this year, I am back doing my original action. I know that’s what my audience wants from me and I am thrilled that I finally have a script where I can punch my way through."

For someone who has done close to 100 films and spent 20 years in the industry, does Akshay too agree that the industry is returning to basics with 'masala' ruling the roost all over again?

"Anyone who knows me also knows how much I believe that in my country, our audiences have and will always adore ‘Masala Madness’," smiles Akshay, "I for one don’t blame them as 'masala' has given me some of my greatest hits. I completely agree that it is ruling the roost all over again and I love every bit of success it brings to our industry."

Well Akshay, we pray for that as well.
