Bollywood veteran Mumtaz expressed concern that recently, Zeenat Aman took to social media to propagate in favor of live-in relationships. Mumtaz cautioned her to be responsible and careful of the noise on the platform, especially for a youthful audience. She underlined the impact of preaching ideologies that could stand at odds with traditional values.

An entertainment portal had a chance to interview Mumtaz, in which she was candid about the impact that living in this country has. She questioned, based on her experiences, whether it's really possible for them to live together for long, and suggested they could undermine the sanctity of marriage.

An Instagram post by Aman, promoting live-in relationships, evoked a debate when Mumtaz put forward the complexity of today's relationships and brought it up against existing cultural norms. Despite Aman's support, Mumtaz emphasized the importance of adhering to moral values and cautioned against any haste that could lead to compromising these values.

While Zeenat has been an open advocate for redefined relationship dynamics, Mumtaz was adamant in her belief that marriage was not essentially a condition for companionship or family life and advocated independent autonomy, prompting people to carve their own paths towards fulfillment.

She agreed, but added in her social media post that society must keep a reservation for living relationships, but must give them their freedom and choice. After taking a break from acting, her upcoming film 'Bun Tikki' will feature her on screen. The movie also has actors like Abhay Deol and Shabana Azmi.
