Physiological thrillers are a hard nut to crack since Malayalam cinema has its share of such exceptional movies like 'Manichitrathazhu'. The build up, the unpredictability, the mystery and unusual occurrences are the hallmarks of such thrillers, which needs to be placed and held precisely to offer a good outcome.

'32 aam adhyayam 23aam vakyam' , right from the word go tries to woo the audience into the unknown. The very title sets the pace for this. We have a couple Ann (Mia George) and Freddy Abraham (Govind Padmasurya) who marry against the wishes of their parents. They are on the verge of celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Ann is a journalist, a dedicated one at that who is adept at digging out the trickiest of mysteries.

Their live is shown in the first half, with a regular visitor in their midst, Ravi (Lal) a family friend of the couple. Ann's work, Freddy's emotional balance, Ravi's visit all set the stage for an alluring thriller. Things thickens as Freddy finds a books which Ann's friend gifted her. It is this book and the chapters in it that takes the movie forward as Freddy is immersed in it and finds a empathetic connection with the protagonist of the book.

Mia has done her part as the inquisitive Ann with assurance. Govind Padmasurya too is passably convincing. Lal's role adds to the mystery and the supporting cast too has done well. Arjun Prabhakaran and Gokul Ramakrishnan's maiden venture is an interesting watch. But it lack something vital, and one feels a forcing of circumstances to give it a mysterious air. This is the movie's undoing, but '32 aam adhyayam 23 aam vakyam' is surely a once time enjoyable watch.
