A director's date with acting

Remember director Ramana. He was the man who wielded the megaphone for Vijay starrers 'Thirumalai' and 'Aathi' besides Dhanush's 'Sullan'. Perhaps taking cue from the likes of Cheran, Thangar Bachchan and Mysskin, he takes a plunge in acting.

His maiden venture as hero is titled 'Kuthirai'. He plays an angry young man in the movie, directed by his former assistant Rajashekar. The venture is produced by Nasser's wife Kameela Nasser.

Prakashraj plays a prominent role in the film while newcomers Vineethkumar and Darshini form part of the cast. Sources close to the movie's unit said, 'it would be an action-packed entertaining flick. The movie shot so far has come really good'.
