Last year`s Sathuranga Vettai` is one of the most critically acclaimed films that also found commercial success, though made on a shoe string budget. The director of the film Vinod was committed by Thirupathi Brothers for a sequel to the film in which Suriya was interested to star in.

Due to the financial crunch, the project was taken over by Studio Green but now we hear that the production house and the director have parted ways. Sources reveal that Vinod has already narrated the line to Ajith who is very impressed and it is highly likely that Thala will soon star in Sathuranga Vettai 2` which may be produced by Sathyajyothi Films.
