Akshay Kumar in 'Kaththi' remake??

Talks in the industry are, Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar plans to be part of the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster 'Kaththi'. The movie Kaththi` is an action drama Tamil film which featured South actor Vijay in dual roles along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Neil Nitin Mukesh and many others. The movie was directed by A R Murugadoss that was a super hit in the South industry.

Akshay said that he was yet to take a call on whether to be part of the remake or not, because Salman Khan name was in gossip circles for some time. At a recent interview Akshay said, "I think so, I will be part of 'Kaththi'. As we are still deciding and nothing confirmed yet. The movie Kaththi` is the story of Kathiresan and Jeevanantham who are lookalikes and focuses on the issue of farmers committing suicide due to corporate encroachment.

According to media reports, the movie has been pushed because the actor will now get busy with South movie 'Robot 2'. Akshay confirms to say, "That was always going to happen mid of this year. I have no idea (about the release), It all depends on my speed." Seems like the Akshay has many movie lined up this year, Rustom` produced by filmmaker Neeraj Pandey and Vipul Shah`s Namastey England`.

Akshay has also worked with Murugadoss in the movie 'Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty'. You can catch; Akshay in 'Airlift', that will hit theatres on January 22. The movie is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and also stars Nimrat Kaur in the lead. It is based on the evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war.
