Tum Milo Toh Sahi - Stills

Dimple Kapadia is a proud sasuma. The gifted actress who will be seen with Nana this Friday in ‘Tum Milo Toh Sahi’ is true Indian saas (means mother-in-law in English). At a promotional event of her film, Dimple started singing praises of her damad (means son-in –law) Akshay Kumar.

Akshay has already been conferred a Padma Shri award, and Dimple feels that he deserves a national award too because she believes that he is a great entertainer.

She says, “I think he (Akshay Kumar) deserves a national award. Nor for any movie as such but he has really grown as an actor and he is excellent in comedy beside that he is an all-rounder, and most importantly he is a great entertainer.”

But there are not only personal reasons for Dimpleji’s belief, the sasu ma will share the screen with her damad Akshay in director Nikhil Advani’s ‘Patiala House’ and it is said that Dimple is mighty impressed by the actors professionalism.

Coming after 16 years since ‘Krantiveer’ in 1994, Dimple shares about the reunion with Nana, “It was a fantastic experience again working with Nana Patekar. We share a student-teacher relationship where I am a student. I learnt a lot from him. With every film he has given me something.”

Made by actor Kamal Sadanah, ‘Tum Milo Toh Sahi’ weaves together lives of three couples who connect with one another through a series of touching and funny moments, where Dimple essays a Parsi woman running an old Irani cafe in the film.
