It is good news that Amitabh Bachchan is back to work after a long time gap. What was welcoming was the fact that he started with a song recording and with the Filmfare Awards.

The most recent development in the story is his association down south. Bachchan has verbally agreed to do the Hindi remake of the Rajinikanth blockbuster Chandramukhi. Telegu filmmaker V.N. Aditya will direct it. KS Rama Rao and Sa Re Ga Ma will produce it. The film was first made in Malayalam in 1994, then in Kannada and now in Hindi.

The film set the cash registers ringing with a business of a whopping 100 crores. The producers and the director have immense faith in the script and story and that Amitji would do absolute justice to his lead character. Minor changes have been made to make the film look and sound contemporary.

Amitji comes from New York to India in Rajasthan to get the lead actress of the film cured. The actress is yet to be finalized. The producers plan to rope in AR Rahman for the music as it plays a vital role in the film. The film should ideally go on floors by the end of the year.
