For someone who has worked in maximum number of films with the likes of Govinda, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor in a career spanning over two decades, David promises audience vintage stuff with 'Rascals'.

"With Sanju and Ajay around, I didn't have to think of any other actor. I got the kind of actors that my script demanded and together both of them have improvised further on the scenes to make them further special. This is the kind of value that senior actors bring to your film. As a director you just need to explain to them the scenes and then they just take them to a different level altogether. If audience has been waiting for vintage David Dhawan stuff then 'Rascals' should be an end to their wait," says the director who has been the most prolific and successful when it comes to the comedy genre.

Even though Salman Khan and Govinda have gone missing in his newest film while Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn have stepped in, one is also surprised to see the inclusion of Arjun Rampal in a comic affair at all. For someone who is seen mostly in a brooding avatar, Arjun too is adding on to the comic portions of 'Rascals'.

"I don't know why Arjun has been termed as wooden in the past, mujhe toh aisa kucch nahi laga," defends Dhawan, "He has done really well in the film despite Ajay and Sanju in the title role. He may not be boasting of a major role but his presence is really important to the film."

With Kangna Ranaut as the leading lady and also featuring Chunky Pandey and Satish Kaushik, 'Rascals' releases all over tomorrow.
