Action king Arjun has a dream to fulfill. He wants to construct a temple for his favorite deity Hanuman. He has nurtured the dream for quite a many years and now the dream has come true. The work on the 28 feet Hanuman statue is nearing completion. The dream temple will come up soon at his Peru estate, in Chennai.

“This is the only achievement in my life” says the actor without any pretensions. The final touches for the statue are being given by sculptor Ashok Gudiger at Kairo village in Doddaballapur Taluk situated on the outskirts of Bangalore.

The uniqueness of the statue is that it shows Hanuman in sitting posture. The sitting posture of Hanuman statue is first of its kind in India.

The statue is made with a single stone. “The single stone for the 28 feet height, 12 feet breadth, and 7 feet thickness Hanuman statue was discovered under the soil in Doddaballapur Taluk”, says Arjun.

Arjun contacted various persons for making this idol and finally handed over the responsibility to Ashok Gudiger. The statue costs Rs.75 lakhs for the actor, director, and producer Arjun. He has allocated one acre of land in Peru estate for this idol.

“I am not doing this divine work for any benefits. I am not interested in earning out of this Hanuman statue. I am a devotee of Hanuman and hence I am doing this with passion”, says Arjun, responding to a question at Windsor Manor hotel in Bangalore at a get-together party. The party was to celebrate the launch of his nephew Chiranjeevi Sarja in Kannada film 'Vaayu Putra'.
