There has been a lot of confusions due to the alleged tug of war between two Bharathiraja and Bala on making a film with the 'Kutraparambarai' story and the title.

For many years. Director Bharathiraja has been telling that 'Kutraparambarai' is his dream project. But director Bala has also decided to make a film on 'Kutraparambarai' and this is expected to be his next after 'Tharai Thappattai'.

Writer and actor Vela Ramamurthy had penned the Tamil novel 'Kutraparambarai'. In a recent interview to a leading Tamil magazine the writer had said that Bala is the right person to make a film based on this story and his alleged comments about Bharathiraja created controversy.

Meanwhile Rathnakumar who has worked with Bharathiraja and Mani Ratnam in many films as a story/script writer, has said that he will take legal action against Bala if he goes ahead making a film on 'Kutraparambarai' as the story and title belongs to him and they have been registered by him.

Today Bharathiraja has launched the 'Kutraparambarai' film in a village near Usilampatti. This village is the place of the real life incidents based on which the Kutraparambarai story has been written

The senior filmmaker has made a smart move by being the first to launch the project. Will it be Bharathiraja's victory over Bala and is it an end of the Tug of War between the two legendary filmmakers? To know the answers for these two curious questions we will have to wait for the announcement on director Bala's next film.
