With the release date of 'Mausam' being pushed at the last moment, there was virtually no competition whatsoever for 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' to gain from an additional week being served on a platter. Frankly, wome dent in collections of 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' had it released alongside. However Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif had luck going in thhatever be the eventual outcome of 'Mausam', it would have still have put seir favour which means the field was wide open for the film to make moolah.

This resulted in just over 50% odd fall for the Yash Raj film in its second week with over 16 crore coming in. Standing tall at over 54 crore, 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' is now all set to cross 'Delhi Belly' total of 60 crore. This also makes Imran Khan as the only other actor other than Salman Khan this year who has seen two of his films earning good collections while arriving back to back. As for Katrina, then well she is becoming pretty invincible if one also takes into account her last release 'Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara' that has now touched the 90 crores mark.

An open week proved to be quite beneficial for 'Bodyguard' as well which has now broken 'Dabangg' record of 140 crore for Salman Khan. With close to 9 crore coming in its third week, the film is now the second highest grosser in the history of Bollywood while being second only to 200 crore total of '3 Idiots'.

Meanwhile the films which released over the week, 'Jaana Pehchaana' and 'Rivaaz', have expectedly turned into disasters with near-to-nil collections.
