After a lot of antagonism because of his quirky quips, Santhanam declared earlier this year that he will refrain from using innuendos in his future projects. The actor did maintain his promise for a little while, before he has broken it recently and come up in headlines once again for wrong reasons. Santhanam has gotten his head into controversy, with a couple of condemnable mockery.
In 'All In All Azhagu Raja', Santhanam got his foot dirty, mocking the awareness video on ill effects of smoking, which features before the screening of every film in the theatres. Due to strong castigation, the scene was removed from the film. Further recently, the actor has gotten himself into trouble once again with a disparaging remark to a good looking woman in a dialogue from 'Endrendrum Punnagai'. The dialogue was vehemently opposed, and the makers of the movie were pushed to remove all the trailers that contained the particular dialogue and replace them with clean ones. In a spic-and-span career of comedy, it is these grains of pepper that pull down Santhanam at places. As against his earlier declaration of not using derogatory language in his future movies, Santhanam has clearly over stepped the border in his recent mess - what is your opinion?
