Southern siren Taapsee who makes her Bollywood debut with the Comedy king David Dhawan’s upcoming comic caper ‘Chashme Baddoor’ is amused at the manner in which the director introduces her to others in a rock-solid way.

It so happened that one day Rishi Kapoor was getting ready for his shot in Goa which was his first sequence. Taapsee who was really excited to meet Rishiji went all the way to the sets just to meet him! She came to the sets and David at his chirpiest best introduced her to Rishiji as the leading lady of his film who is a Sikhni from South!

Rishi Kapoor looked a little puzzled and asked Taapsee why such an unusual name which does not sound like a sikh name, to which she replied my aunt kept it!!! From then onwards they hit if off completely and every on the sets started calling her ‘Sikhni from South’.

When quizzed Taapsee about it she was laughing and said, "David Uncle and Rishi Uncle are both Punjabis and maybe that’s why he introduced me like this, but now it’s a habit for him!! Whoever he meets he will always introduce me like this only. Davidji is very sweet and I had a blast shooting for Chashme Baddoor and this is the perfect launch pad any one could have asked for!"

Produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, ‘Chashme Baddoor’ stars Ali Zafar, Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma in lead besides Tapsee. The film hits theaters on 5th April, 2013.
