Dhanush's 'VIP 2' shooting progress and theatrical release plan

Actor Dhanush's 'Velai Illa Pattadhari 2' went on floors in December 2016 and now the shooting has reached its final stages.

Sources reveal that the team is progressing on a rapid pace with the plan to wrap up the entire shoot by the first week of April 2017. The source also said that the teaser will be released by the end of May and the movie's theatrical release date has been fixed as July 28, 2017.

It is worth noting that the 2014 blockbuster 'Velai Illa Pattadhari' also released in the month of July.

'VIP2' is being directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth and it is being produced by Dhanush and Kalaipuli.S.Thanu. Sean Roldan is rendering the music score for the film which stars Dhanush, Amala Paul and Bollywood star Kajol in the lead roles.
