As we said Ek Villain will be a hero` at the box office but to such thunderous applause.. unprecedented!!. Taking the Indian box by storm on day one Balaji`s Ek Villain` directed by Mohit Suri, recorded a Historic 16.72 crores on 2539 screens.

Registering itself as the second highest opener of the year in absolute terms after Salman Khan`s Jai Ho`. In terms of screen average, it is the highest opening of the year.
