Director Ezhil has always had a special place in his heart for Chennai, the city with timeless reverence. He says that this is precisely the reason why he had Chennai as the backdrop in his latest Deeppavali.

Ezhil is also all praise about Jayam Ravi, the hero of Deeppavali.

“Jayam Ravi, after hearing the story of Deeppavali, did not accept any other offer that came his way. Besides, he extended his complete co-operation during the shoot and worked almost like an assistant director,” he says.
