It is unfortunate that the release of Nagarjuna starrer ‘Gaganam’ directed by Radha Mohan of ‘Akasamanta’-fame and produced by Dil Raju on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, is getting postponed for one reason or the other.

First it was ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ of Naga Chaitanya, which prevented the early release of ‘Gaganam’ fearing the clash between father and son. After a few weeks, the release was delayed keeping in view big releases like ‘Robo, Puli and Khaleja’.

Again the producer further postponed the release of ‘Gaganam’ keeping in view another film ‘Brindaavanam’ from their own banner. After overcoming all the hurdles, the film was all set to hit the screen in November.

However, the Tamil version producer Prakash Raj, in a press release officially declared that the bilingual film, with ‘Payanam’ as the title of Tamil version, and ‘Gaganam’ as the Telugu version would be released simultaneously on December 3.

It may be mentioned here that the film is an experimental film with action and entertainment in its backdrop and is based on flight hijack story in Kandhahar.

Nagarjuna plays a commando, while Prakash Raj plays a terrorist. Moreover, Nag is playing the hero without any heroine and with no duets in the film.
