In a fusion of cricket and cinema like never before, the highly anticipated sci-fi epic "Kalki 2898 AD" sets ablaze global television screens tonight, exclusively on Star Sports. Amidst the electrifying atmosphere of IPL 2024, Prabhas enthralled the audiences worldwide as he surpised the audience in 'Bhairava,' avatar.

Crafted with meticulous precision, the video premiered during the Lucknow Super Giants VS Mumbai Indians IPL clash. Prabhas, adorned in his Bhairava persona, delivers a powerful message likening cricket to warfare, igniting anticipation for the impending tournament.

On Tuesday, eager fans were tantalized with promises of a surprise during IPL coverage. What unfolded was a brief yet captivating promotional video featuring Prabhas in his formidable avatar as Bhairava from the upcoming sci-fi epic, "Kalki 2898 AD." In the succinct ad, Prabhas urged viewers to brace themselves for the pinnacle clash of this IPL season, slated between the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders on May 3. With intensity in his voice, he declared, “Cricket bhi ek yudh hai. Saansein thaam lo. Ye IPL ka maha match hein. Kal ke liye aaj khelo (Cricket is also a battle. Hold your breath. This IPL match is grand. Play for tomorrow, today)!”

Earlier the grand reveal of Amitabh Bachchan's character as Ashwatthama during previous IPL broadcasts received immense love. Reaffirming the synergy between two cultural juggernauts: cricket and cinema.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ made waves after its groundbreaking debut at San Diego Comic-Con last year, earning massive global acclaim. Directed by Nag Ashwin and bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is a multilingual film, a mythology-inspired sci-fi spectacle set in the future scheduled to hit screens on 27th June 2024 worldwide.

Expectations are high on the project as Nag Ashwin won the national award for his film Mahanati and he is on a mission to turn Prabhas into pan world star.
