The makers of ‘Golmaal’ are claiming that the Rohit Shetty directed laugh riot has grossed a whopping Rs 69 Crores. One can’t say much about the real figure, but the fact remains that the Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi and Tushshar Kapoor powered film has been declared a super-hit in the Mumbai circuit and even though it hasn’t done that well in the other circuits, it is still holding on. In fact, in the Mumbai region it may cross Rs 30 crore gross.

Although the chemistry between Ajay, Arshad, Sharman, Tushshar and Paresh Rawal was fabulous, there’s a school of thought that if Akshay Kumar would have been in the film then the fortunes of the film would have fared even better considering his comic timing is at an all time high currently.

Tallking about the three films that released last week, then the report card for all of them is a poor one. ‘Anthony Kaun Hai’ is a decent film with some slick direction by Raj Kaushal and fine acting by Arshad Warsi and Minisha Lamba, but it has opened to a poor response. Salman-Shilpa starrer ‘Shaadi Karke Phas Gaye Yaar’ has had a disastrous opening and it is going to sink without a trace of hope. Chakri’s ‘Darwaza Bandh Rakho’ has had a relatively better fortune at the Box Office. Whether it holds on to it is a bit unpredictable yet.

The world is looking forward to KANK this Friday. Bets are being placed as to what kind of opening it’s gonna be taking. After all Shahrukh has had a Box Office feud with Roshans earlier as well. The countdown has just begun!
