Hoping to be a hero, he is a guest

Actor Karthik, who is trying in vain to stage a comeback in Tamil filmdom, seems to have finally settled for guest roles.

The actor is currently playing the guest role in a movie titled Kanda Naal Muthal starring Prasanna and Laila.

Priya, a one-time associate of director Manirathnam, directs the movie being produced by Prakashraj.

Karthik plays a rich man, who helps a lover couple get wedlocked in the movie. This one-time romantic hero helps a lover couple get united.

In a sense it is said that Karthik, who is optimistic of getting back his position in the industry, has to settle for such nondescript roles.

But as they says when you are down, you can't choose.

A pity, really.
