Modesty, thy name is Rajinikanth. Being at the pivotal point of his career where his name would inspire chorus of whistles, not just in Tamil Nadu his home state but across the nation of a billion cinema fans, he said he is humbled to be honored along with the other living legends on the stage.

Named among NDTV's 25 global Indian living legends and honoured by President Pranab Mukherjee this evening, Superstar Rajinikanth said today that his story proves "Miracles do happen. See an ordinary bus conductor sharing the dais with the greatest living legends is a miracle," he said to much applause. He dedicated the award to "my brother, my guru Balachander and the Tamil people."
