Allu Sirish's second film,'Kotha Janta', is ready for a big release on May 1st and Sirish is very sure of the scoring his first hit. He has shared his journey with the movie team, his next film, his relation with director Maruthi etc in an exclusive interview to Indiaglitz.

Here are some excerpts from the interview.

About a selfish pair

Kotha Janta is about a pair who are very career minded, self-centered and also very selfish. The complications that arise when such a pair falls in love is shown in the movie. The movie will have loads of entertainment.

Friends for seven years

Maruthi and me are friends for nearly seven years. He became a director and me becoming a hero and acting in his direction is really a wonderful experience. We never worked like a director and actor on sets. We are very friendly and there was always fun at the sets. I hope that fun will translate on screen.

Not small movies

'Kotha Janta' is not a small movie and the budget is between 7 to 8 crores. Maruthi has given three hits in Telugu and though my first film 'Gouravam' director Radha Mohan is not well-known in Telugu, he has given some good hits in Tamil. My focus is always on the story and I will work with a director, if the story is good.

For me, it is a great opportunity to work with directors like Radha Mohan and Maruthi

Not so useful

I've been in production but that experience is not so useful now. It may be useful to only some extent to understand how industry, media works and what directors want.

Fantastic actress

I've seen Regina's work in 'SMS' and "Routine Love Story". I loved her acting but forget her. She is doing the film,"PIlla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham", in Geetha Arts and that director has suggested Maruthi to take her into "Kotha Janta", saying she is a very good actress. We've seen the rushes and roped in her. She has done a wonderful job in this film and she is looking more prettier than in her previous films.

I'll act in their direction

I'll definitely act if a short film maker impresses me with a story. But I think that this is a very different industry and they have handled big budgets, control about 25 artists and have to make the audiences sit for two and half hours. So it is better if they work for two or three big films before trying to become a director.

But I am not certain about it. Some short film makers have directly become a director in Kollywood and so it all depends on the story.

Should be like it

I prefer to act in films like "Kotha Janta" in the future. It means the story should be good and should have commercial elements. But if a good director approaches me with a good story, I will definitely act even if it is a different film.

First preference is for Geetha Arts

I'll work in other production companies, but my first preference is for Geetha Arts. I don't know whether the infrastructure and the process followed here will be in other production companies. But if a good director and producer comes, I have no problem working in other production companies.

They have heard

My father and brother Allu Aravind have heard "Kotha Janta" story and okayed it.

Very good music director

Jeevan Babu (J.B) has worked for Maruthi's previous films and did a good job. He also gave a very good music for "Kotha Janta". I personally like "Arerey Idi Prema" and "Osi Prema Rakshasi" songs from the movie. But he has given an outstanding background score. Really he is a very good music director.

A break

After "Kotha Janta", I'll take a break, as I have been working for this film for about then months. After the break, I'll hear the stories and will sign then.

Allu Sirish concluded that "Kotha Janta" will be a very good family entertainer and the audiences will sure love it. He requested the audiences to watch the movie in the theatres near to them.
