It was a dull weekend at the box office, what with none of the two releases managing to find decent audience coming their way. 'Jackpot' as well as 'What The Fish' didn't quite boast of any major collections.

There were hopes that with good promotion aiding its cause, 'Jackpot' may just about manage to post fair collections. Moreover, since it had also enjoyed a wide release, even semi-decent footfalls would bring in some moolah at the least. However that was not the case as not many had a dekko at the Kaizad Gustad directed affair. As a result, the film's opening weekend was just a little over 3 crore which, though highest for Sachiin Joshi (after 'Aazaan' and 'Mumbai Mirror'), was still not healthy enough to ensure that the makers could breathe easy.

It was worse for 'What The Fish' which saw a haphazard arrival in theatres. Buzz was poor while interest generation amongst the audience near to zilch. With no real target market set for the film and entire publicity centred on Dimple Kapadia, 'What The Fish' faced the ignominy of not even being reviewed by many publications/websites. It failed to garner even 50 lakhs over the weekend, hence turning out to be a complete disaster. This is a second downer for director Gurmmeet Singh after 'Warning' which had released a few weeks ago.

As for 'Lucky Kabootar', the film had to face an embarrassment of not even arriving in theatres. Due to internal problems relating to distribution, the film's release was put off literally at the last minute. Currently, there is no certainty around its eventual theatrical release.
