Jayam Ravi is eagerly awaiting the release of his Deepavali. Directed by Ezhil and produced by Lingusamy, the movie features Ravi at his romantic best with Bhavana playing the heroine.

The actor is on to his next Dhaam Dhoom, directed by Jeeva, which is an action-packed entertainer.

Says Ravi, “I want to do varied roles. I don't want to be branded as a romantic hero or an action star.”

On his role in Deepavali, he says, “I play a typical Chennai youth. It is a romantic entertainer, sure to catch the hearts of youngsters. However, there would be action and emotional sequences too. Ezhil's narration of the story is sure to impress the filmgoers.”

On Dhaam Dhoom, the actor, says, “It is quite unlikely for the film to be a routine action film. We are striving hard to match Hollywood in action sequences in the movies. A major portion of the movie would be shot in Russia.”

Ravi is nursing ambitions to direct a film too! In the next few years, he says, “I would try my hands at directing a film. Hopefully, I would play the hero in it.”
