Last week was special indeed for producer Krishika Lulla. While she has been neck deep into ensuring that her upcoming film 'Raanjhanaa' continues to maintain good momentum en route to its release, she also stepped on the ramp for Manish Malhotra's cancer aid cause.

This, when it was raining heavily in the open air set up at the Cricket Club of India (CCI), Mumbai.

"Manish Malhotra had designed a special range for this exclusive event that was put together for Cancer Patients Aids Association (CPAA)," informs a source, "While he put together quite a few celebrities who have been seen in front of the camera, most notably Dia Mirza, Ameesha Patel, Neha Dhupia, Shriya Saran and Sophie Choudry to name a few, he also wanted someone who has been pretty active in the world of glamour despite being known for her work behind the scenes. This is where Krishika Lulla came into picture."

While she has been busy making films as a producer, Krishika's constant stint with glamour and fashion as well as quite a few ramps that she has walked made her an immediate guest for the show.

Says Krishika, "Moreover since this was for a cancer aid cause, I was more than glad to step in."

There was some trouble during the event though with heavy rains threatening to spoil the arrangements.

"None of the guests moved though," says Krishika, "A 7000 strong audience was the real hero there. Even though it rained, they did not leave the show. The adage of 'the show must go on' came true on that day, all because of the audience."
