It was an indifferent weekend at the box office as far as new releases goes since 'Kya Yahi Sach Hai' failed to find any audience for itself. As feared last week, the film didn't even find an all-India release for itself. Also, wherever it did manage to find a release, the show count was quite low while the screening timings were also quite wayward that resulted in zero awareness. Moreover since there was no pre-release buzz either, the film expectedly saw almost zero footfalls in theatres.

The film did see some good comments coming its way for the nexus that it explored around cops and politicians but that wasn't good enough to attract audience. Moreover technically it was easily the least impressive movie of the year where everything collectively failed - whether it was art direction, music, cinematography - hence making one further turn away from the final product.

A non-starter, it was further hampered by the arrival of 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' as well as the sustained run of 'Don 2' and 'Mission: Impossible - The Ghost Protocol ' that closed all doors for any returns whatsoever.
