M Karunanidhi watches ‘Thamizh Padam’

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Tuesday watched 'Thamizh Padam', produced by his grandson Dhayanidhi Alagiri, at a special screening at Four Frames Theatre in Chennai.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his wife Dayalu Ammal, grand daughter Anju, director of the film C S Amudhan and 'hero' Siva among others. Senior Ministers including Arcot N Veerasamy, Veerapandi S Arumugam, Durai Murugan and Union Minister A Raja too watched the movie along with Karunanidhi.

According to sources, the Chief Minister, who himself is a veteran script writer, was all praise for the 'Thamizh Padam' team for making a decent spoof on Tamil films. "The movie is a laugh riot," he told the director, we learn.

'Thamizh Padam' which hit cinema halls last Friday has been winning rave reviews besides overwhelming response from the audiences. "Many movie-buffs are watching the film two to three times," say sources in theatres.
