"While the first half of Marina will be loaded with comedy, the post-interval session will deal with a heavy subject in a careful manner," says Pandiraj, the director of 'Pasanga' and 'Vamsam'. The shooting of 'Marina' is almost over and the film will hit the screens soon.

"11 characters form important part of Marina script. Pasanga fame Pakkoda Pandi and my brother's son Gautham are prominent among them. However, I have not given any concessions to Gautham just because he is my close relative," the National Award winning filmmaker says.

On the lead pair Siva Karthikeyan and Oviya, he says, "I opted for Siva Karthikeyan only after I was disappointed with two other actors. His is already popular on television and it is a great advantage. Oviya will repeat the Kalavani magic with Marina."

"Audience would start calling me Marina Pandiraj once the film hits the screens," he says and adds: "I learnt a few lessons from my second film Vamsam and carefully followed it while scripting and shooting Marina. I will start my next film soon."
